Fishbrain - Fishing App App revisa

The app is navigable and okay, but a lot of addresses and fish caught don’t actually match up with other. Hence fish caught in 1 lake but then posted to the pictures under another lake. And 80 bucks yearly is crazy to me. Only reason they got me for that was bc I forgot about my free trial ending. So maybe this review is a little bias 😒

Watch out they will take your $75 bucks before you finish your free trial. An there is no way to get refunded.

Very laggy and doesn’t load

The only thing is you can log a catch anywhere even like a road it is kinda annoying

ive seen some other reviews that describe the same problem with the map being completely black and useless. anybody can help?

Tried it it’s great and everything but I didn’t even use the free trial or anything and a couple days later charged my card 90$ won’t be using again

Amazing app to share where to fish and to share your fish

I’ve had Fishbrain for about a year now and I’ve never regretted installing. The best part of the app is that you can find small town lakes and more.

The makers of this app have become extremely greedy. You how to buy a “pro” subscription which is not cheap to be able to do anything useful with the app. Its sad because this app used to be great.

I casually fish with my sons and I like the idea of buying a membership to see what people used but to pay to see what is caught in a location is ridiculous. Use to be free. Now I have to zoom way out to see anything relative.

Used to be able to filter all catches by type of fish I open the app today for that feature to be locked behind a paywall greedy company won't ever use again edit: worst app ever

I spent two hours searching for a spot every spot. It told me had a private property sign or was somebody’s house it is a horrible app

Most usefull fishing app out there.

This is a very good app but people on here put in that they caught a 10 pound bass. But it was like 3 ounces but other than that it is a very good and #1 app for fishing

Have used this app for many many many years, and lately every update they strip away features and make them a “pro” feature. The free version just takes up space and has zero purpose. Congrats on ruining a good app and platform to pad your bottom line 😉😉

It good

This app lists my residence, which has a small pond, as a fishing location. My residence is private property. The app refuses to remove it. This app will be responsible for someone getting hurt or arrested due to trespassing on people’s private property.

I use this app for two reasons. First reason is to keep track of my catches and the second reason is to do research on where to catch specific species. Researching was pretty easy. You just to the map and filter for the species you want and the time of year. But now you have to be a “pro” member to use the filters. You can still do research but it’s a lot more complicated now. Honestly it kind of killed the app for me a bit. I’m still going to use it to keep track of my catches. But for doing research I’m probably going to else where.

Pointless if you have the free version.

When my location is in the making just pitch black i have tried everything to get it to work and it still won’t

This app helped me and my dad a-lot we looked for a body of water on maps and in real life for 2-3 hours then i remembered i had fish brain

This app has no brain. Not smart. I’m confused. There is not great white shark outside of my garage.

Was an amazing app until they started charging $13 a month! The app is unusable free you can see the 7th best performing lure and that’s it can’t see maps locations weather times or anything necessary besides pictures of fish people have caught

Almost every single pond or lake is private property or dried up. Please update the locations or verify them so that I know I can fish there.

Most basic things are locked behind subscriptions and payments

The app is good for posting catches but the spots are terrible and inaccurate and it doesn’t help that you have to buy a membership to see good spots.

Maybe one day this app will charge 6.99 a month just for map functions.

The app itself is a great premise, it’s the people that use it that have ruined it. This app has single handed ruined every good spot near me. before they were all clean with good fish and no trash but now, most of them are full of trash and pressured fish.

Best app I have ever used better get the pro version

I’ve had Fishbrain for a good bit now and I love using it to post my catches or check what’s in the water but it has 1 problem. When I go to log my catch it always has a recommendation of the weight or length. I don’t know if it works for others but it hasn’t been accurate once and I can’t pick my own numbers to use. However besides that the app is very easy to use and is so useful if you want to fish or look at other people’s fish.

My friend and I both have Fishbrain. His catches do not show up on his profile. They show on the community page for everyone to see and comment. He can change his profile picture and continue adding catches. Support tells him the same thing, reinstall the app or your internet is not working, while he is adding catches and updating his profile you would think his internet is ok??? He has uninstalled and reinstalled the app 6 times. I tried contacting support to help and they say he has to reinstall the app. They respond with canned responses instead of looking at the problem. Look up @rangerdude2019 and you can see the issue. Support please step it up.

Is the best app so good you should get it.

I used to love this app, using it to find spots is kind of pointless, however it served as a great social media network exclusively for fishing. It was always motivating to see some great catches in my area, making friends and posting catches of my own. It’s function as a social platform used to be a free feature, but the fact that you are now only shown 10 or so maybe less pictures per spot without paying nearly $100 a year is outrageous. I already wrote a review and had gotten so disappointed again that I came back to revise it. The normal response is “we need the revenue to run our servers and provide better quality features” or close to it, which is absolutely untrue as the quality of the app has diminished. In fact I would rather deal with the occasional pop up advertisement than have to pay for something that has no business being a pay to access platform as at least that is understandable. The most disappointing aspect of this apps demise is the understanding that fishing is slowly dying, less and less people are getting out to fish, kids are growing up without that one fishing trip with their dad or grandfather that sparks this lifelong passion. The survival of this sport falls entirely on the youth, and us taking our future kids and grandkids out fishing one day, and the best platform to reach us from has sold out for an easy dollar. Some advice to anyone reading this who thinks this platform can help them, it is NOT worth it. Go to your local bait shop or fly shop, spark up a conversation with someone, make some friends. One of my buddies who I fish with, I met at the bait shop, bro thought me a lot about fly fishing, something that was foreign to me as I’ve only fished on a beach my whole life. Don’t waste your money here.

This used to be a good app with a few features locked behind a pay wall. Then they saw people were fine with just seeing the catches for an area so they only let you see the first 5, now they have it so populated/higher traffic fishing spots are locked from seeing recent catches unless you pay for the subscription. 👎👎 greedy scummy app had such great potential in the beginning. I used to track my catches with it. Now I’ll be finding another app to do so out of principle uninstalled this app today.

I love this app i just wish I could look at top lures without paying

From the maps and easy tracking of fish. This app is probably the best fish tracking app ever! It is so cool being able to see physical charts of the time and type of fish you catch. Weather temperature, water temperature, moon phases, lure recommendations, fishing spots, private waypoints. And more you could discover yourself! The ONLY thing I have a problem with, is that the charts only show a few species then “Other” after multiples different species have been caught.

Sadly it doesn’t let me see where they catch the fish without paying
